Experience: My practice is concentrated in residential real estate law. I found my skills uniquely appropriate to counsel parties in all phases of the real estate process. From legal issues in contract review and negotiation, to helping real estate professionals as a resource, we fulfill the vision of a professional, family experience for our clients. I have had my own practice since 1990, I partnered with Mark Herrick in 2008 with the idea of providing a value added proposition to our clients and other real estate professionals.

Peter J. Fitzgerald

Experience: Served as a Law Clerk at McHenry County Courthouse for Judges Wilt and White in the Felony Division. In 2016, I became an Associate at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, and Boyer serving in the Worker’s Compensation Division. Joined A&H in 2018 as an Associate to learn and grow in a suburban family oriented practice. Promoted to Partner in 2022.

Mark A. Herrick

Experience: Practice concentrated in residential real estate transactions for the past 15 years. I founded A & H in 2008 with Mike Angelina who I knew and worked with since 1999. At that time, we decided to focus our entire practice on residential real estate and to offer our collective experience to buyers and sellers of real estate. I am a frequent speaker with area real estate offices and title companies on best practices in real estate.

Experience: Joe’s career centers on helping families. By concentrating in residential real estate transactions and family estate planning, Joe provides seasoned advice to our clients and move these important steps together. After being an Owner, Council and Associate at local firms, he joined A&H in 2020 to combine his practice with trusted colleagues in a collegial atmosphere. Joe received the Volunteer Honor Roll award from Palatine Park District in 2024 for lifetime service to the community.

John H. Boyd
Partner, Attorney at Law - Litigation
Education:

Experience: John joined A&H in 2023 after beginning his practice representing public bodies and officials that include the City of Chicago and County of McHenry in the U.S. Federal and Illinois State Courts. For nearly 20 years John continued to represent public bodies and officials. He also represents many private companies and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation.
John has settled hundreds of cases and taken numerous cases to trial. John has also argued before the Illinois Appellate Court on issues relating to public body quorum requirements, secured transactions, assignment for the benefit of creditors and emergency temporary restraining orders.
Experience at A & H: John spearheaded the litigation department in 2023, and has quickly grown the practice to provide A&H clients with a complete attorney service.

Experience: I joined Angelina & Herrick, P.C. in 2013 as a Real Estate Paralegal where I assist multiple attorneys in all aspects of the real estate process.

Experience: After staying home with my twins, I returned to the work force in 2013. I started in a small real estate practice and found it to be a great fit. I joined A & H in 2021 and continue to handle all aspects of the real estate process, particularly working with Buyer clients.
Experience at A & H: I most enjoy working on files from start to finish and developing a relationship with our clients. Being there to help the client through the process and learning new things along the way, makes the real estate practice particularly interesting. Experience: I have been hard at work since I was 16 years old. In 2018 I started as receptionist at a law firm concentrating in real estate. I quickly worked my way into assisting the lawyer in most aspects of the real estate sales process. At A & H I assist the lawyers in opening files, coordinating schedules, contacting clients and realtors and then post-closing filings.
